Today I bring you another episode for the “Oh, honey…no” files. There’s not much I can say to prepare thine eyes for this hot mess so here we go:

My retinae are burning as I type. You could own this travesty of denim for a mere $196. That’s $196 for a pair of skinny, crop jeans (which, may I just say, are so tight they’re almost jeggings) that will make it look like you got in a fight with a jug of Clorox.
Shame on the designer. Shame on the Bloomie’s buyer. Shame on any woman that wears them. A pox on all your houses!
Looks like the guys are taking a cue from the newer denim silhouettes that have become available to women over the past couple of years. No longer just a bootcut world, men’s denim is moving towards the straight and narrow.
Take, for instance, the Brixton by Joe’s Jeans ($158). With a slimmer tailored leg, the Brixton cuts a very nice shape. Nicole, of nv clothes for men here in Raleigh, says this style has sold pretty well.

I think it’s great that men are giving more thought to their jeans these days and I hope the days of the baggy faded pair are behind us. Perhaps a gift to consider for your valentine, ladies?
Keri Russell is featured in the January 2009 issue of In Style magazine and I especially loved this ensemble:

I think the beauty of this look is how it’s so put-together, yet it comes off incredibly relaxed. The most striking elements are the red in the shirt which adds a punch of color to the otherwise neutral palette and the chiffon embellishment on the cardigan which lends a romantic aura, offsetting the structured look created by the shirt and jeans. Beautiful, simple and comfortable.
