Paper Chase

You all are aware by now that I have quite the passion for clothes and accessories.  What some of you may not know yet is that I have another weakness. Stationery.  I adore beautiful paper products.  Last summer, when I visited my friend Beth in Connecticut, I nearly had to be resuscitated at the Kate’s Paperie in Greenwich. So many beautiful things there!  I could hardly see straight…

This obsession goes way back.  I got my very first taste of designer stationery many years ago when my friend Shanna gave me a box of Kate Spade note cards.  I was smitten, to say the least.  We southern ladies do love to write us a good thank you note, you know.  And one thing I’ve learned is that if you’re going to take the time to put pen to paper, make sure you’ve got yourself some thick, creamy cardstock festooned with a beautiful design.

So imagine my delight when I received an email yesterday from my friend Beth in Dublin (a different Beth) with the subject line “Giles Deacon – Smythson”.  Beth and I share a love of Smythson products and I couldn’t wait to see what sort of magic Giles Deacon had worked.

They’re perfect.  Simple and elegant and just a tad avant-garde.  Just like the designer himself.

Get yours at a Smythson store near you ($70 for a box of ten) or order online for a pajama-friendly shopping experience.  Just don’t forget to send me one!

  1. Beth

    Oh the possibilities!

  2. My problem is that I would buy them and never send them out! They’re just too pretty 🙂
